Kurdistan Young Leadership Program
Kurdistan Young Leadership Program is the flagship project of Karin Organization that was initially held in 2017 and became an annual forum for youth to discuss the current development and an attempt to raise leaders’ awareness toward the sustainable development of the country and global community through debate and free exchange of opinions.
Kurdistan Young Leadership Program aims to create a just and fair society in Kurdistan, where women and men equally participate in and benefit from opportunities; It works to enhance young leaders’ abilities to accomplish greater social impact through their inventions and innovations in order to create a one united body to develop their community and make their dreams come true. Through KYLP we work to create bridges between the current leaders and future leaders to amplify their voices and to bring their ideas to the attention of decision makers.
The mission of the project is to empower and prepare youth through the program to create the social status, skills, and leadership qualities to become pioneers in bringing positive change to their community.
KYLP is a fully funded program, providing accommodation and all other necessities for the period of the program, making it easier for anyone to apply and participate in the program. The forum is designed around open discussions, symposiums, training sessions, intercultural events, voluntarily service, workshops and teambuilding exercises, site visits, and social time among peers.
KYLP is an attempt to create a shared vision for our future and unify youth initiatives toward creating a sustainable development and build new values and concepts that would defy negative understandings and entertain a productive dialogue that would lead to reconciliation. We believe investment in youth is an investment in prosperity and peace, and it’s for the global good not only the people of the region.
